In November it was announced that Wakefield District Sight Aid had been given The King’s Award for Voluntary Service in recognition of the tremendous contribution that their volunteers made towards their work. To mark this wonderful achievement, there was an official celebration event at their Ridings Coffee Morning on Wednesday 15th May. The group were presented with their crystal award and certificate by Ed Anderson CBE, HM Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire. At the presentation many volunteers and members were there and it was quite a celebration!
